Busy Saturday in Beer City

The 5/3 RiverBank Run, Grand Rapids Fusion hoops, marching with the Army to GRFC & a Grand Rapids Griffins playoff watch party. It’s going to be a busy day in Beer City USA tomorrow.

Over 15,000 runners are expected to take to the streets of Grand Rapids Saturday morning the 39th running of the RiverBank Run. Including spectators and volunteers, the crowd is estimated to be over 60,000 people. Coverage from local TV station, WOOD-TV, begins at 5am and continues to show the start and finish of every race. You can watch your favorite runner (by bib number) cross the finish line on woodtv.com.

At 3pm, the Fusion take the floor at Kuyper College to face off against the one of the newest additions to the IBA, the Illinois Hoopville Warriors. Tickets are $7 each or 2 for $10.

At 5:15pm, the Grand Army will congregate at Bob’s Bar on Michigan NE in preparation for the GRFC fixture against the Muskegon Risers. Join the fun as the #hooligansinblue take to the streets and march to their home field. Game time is 7:45pm at Houseman Field.
