Grand Rapids Football Club (GRFC) welcomed two new sponsors for the 2016 season, welcoming iHeartMedia West Michigan affiliates ESPN 96.1 and Star 105.7 to the family.
“We here at ESPN 96-1 are incredibly excited to be working with GRFC. Matt and his team have created a great environment for soccer fans in West Michigan and we are proud to be involved with promoting this incredible team. As new card carrying members of the Grand Army, we’ll be seeing you A LOT this season! Go GRFC!”, ESPN 96.1’s Big Droo, from “It Is What It Is”, told other media members.
“It’s my honor to be representing GRFC. As a soccer coach, it’s exciting to see Grand Rapids embrace the ‘beautiful game’. And, as a morning show host, I’m going to prove that soccer moms just wanna have fun!”, added Tommy Dylan from Star 105.7
GRFC President Matt Roberts commented “We are thrilled to have ESPN 96.1 and Star 105.7 on board with us during the 2016 season. We will be working very closely with them to help promote Grand Rapids FC events and soccer in West Michigan. In talking to Drew McCarthy(Big Droo), Tommy Dylan, and Bret Bakita we know this relationship will be beneficial for all of us as we start our first National Premier Soccer League(NPSL) season in May”.
