With training camp over, GR Danger starts preseason practice

Last week marked the end of training camp for the Grand Rapids Danger, Beer City’s newest pro basketball team, as they make the transition toward the start of their inaugural season in the ABA.

Owner Allen Durham recently was able to move the Danger’s practices from their home court at Grace Bible College to Kingdom Square, the former St. Joe’s Diocesan Academy on Burton SW. Having more courts available during practices allows for the coaching staff to take the time to work with players on an individual basis and still run team drills on an adequately sized full court. Practice started Tuesday night.

They’ve got a long road ahead of them, but the Danger staff is poised to challenge for a league crown. Durham is looking to bring the local names we’ve all come to know and love back to the court as pros to represent the City.
