Cyclones select 3 in PBL Draft

The Grand Rapids Cyclones of the Premier Basketball League selected three players in the annual Draft. This year the draft was held less than two weeks after the PBL Combine in Chicago, IL.

With the 5th pick overall, the Cyclones selected Rupert Rose, a 5-11 guard from Grambling State University.

At 14, they selected Alvin Nance, a 6-5 guard from Philander Smith in Arkansas, who was the #2 rated NAIA guard prospect heading into the 2013 NBA Draft.

When it came time to pick at #23, the pick was Danny Calcatera, a 5-10 guard from originally from St. Clair Shores who played at Siena Heights and Kalamazoo College.

The recent additions are a much needed spark to a team whose rival, the Lake Michigan Admirals, are near the top of the league.
