The Davenport Panthers came out on top with a 80-78 win over the visiting Grace Tigers on Monday night.

Wes Webbert led the Panthers with 19 points and Robbie Bramhill added 15.

Grace trailed by 21 points in the first half but went on a 16-2 run at one point to inch within 12 points at the half. After the break, the Tigers clawed their way back into the game and found it tied at 69-69 late. After Grace took the lead, DU’s Bramhill hit a key three-pointer with under a minute to go to seal the victory, but the Panthers had to defend until the buzzer to secure the win, including a steal on an inbounds lob near the basket.

7-foot big man Adam Raymer led Grace throughout the game, providing the much-needed inside presence for the Tigers.

Davenport moves to 4-1 on the season and Grace falls to 4-6.
