Earlier this week, the Grand Rapids Drive re-acquired returning rights player Kevin Murphy.

Murphy, who wears number 55, returns to the Drive after playing 2015-16 with the Hitachi SunRockets of the Japan Basketball League. He also appeared in two preseason games with the Orlando Magic this year.

Murphy is a 6-foot-6, 185-pound guard who played at Tennessee Tech and was selected with the 47th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz.

Murphy averaged 14.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 16 games with Grand Rapids in their inaugural season in Beer City. He was acquired from the Idaho Stampede for Brandon Fields in February 2015.

Paul Graham III was waived to make room on the roster. Graham was signed from the 2016 local tryout pool.
