Awards Banquet set for Monday, March 25

 

The WMOA will gather at Watermark Country Club on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 6 p.m. for their annual banquet and awards ceremony.

The group will present awards for Student Athlete of the Year (3), Coach of the Year (3), Athletic Director of the Year (1), Officials of the Year (2) and a Lifetime Achievement Award to Don Edwards.

 

 

Happy Birthday, Tami VandenBurg!

This Grand Rapids icon believes in helping others (former exec dir at Wellhouse) and rocking out to great bands in GR (co-owner of The Pyramid Scheme) and helps inspire my comic-genius friends, Sampop & Gavsby (she’s also co-owner of The Meanwhile).

Happy Birthday, Dominic Shannon!

Happy Birthday to Beer City’s own Dominic Shannon, Founder of All-In Sports Training.

A graduate of East Kentwood High School, Shannon went on to play hoops at Saginaw Valley State University and the Grand Rapids Danger as a guard.

All-In Sports provides individual and group training for players age 5 and older at the Seidman Boys And Girls Club on Crofton SE every Saturday.
