Hearts trade for Breezo, win inaugural game

PG on the move

Early Tuesday afternoon, the West Leonard Hearts acquired Breezo B from the Rhythm for future considerations.

The 5-10 point guard jumped into action right away Tuesday helping the Hearts secure a win in their first ever Gr3g League game, a 52-44 victory over the Sixth Street Nets.

The Hearts are now guard-heavy with Jody Breeze, Rio, Clay Targets & Breezo surrounding cagey veterans Gr3g and Ross Hot Sauce on the inside.

While this leaves the Rhythm without the ball handler they’ve known for the previous two seasons, Trav Waylaa & Cuervo are a great backcourt duo. Cope adds rookie Parker to the mix on the inside and new guy “uncle Jeff” could be the wing to solidify the roster. Hobs (Legends) may join the team later this season.

Happy Birthday #35 to RossTy!

Besides brewing up some trouble on the court, our guy RossTy is a starter for the Trail Point Brewing team off the court, as well.

Originally known as the Bus Stop Kid, he’s graduated to full-time Hoops Hero.

Cheers to you, Brother of the Bridges!

Why the target score of 52?

It’s a Fifty Burger with Cheese

Over the past 16 months, we’ve had a lot of questions (and negative comments) about the decision to move to a target score of 52.

Well, here you go.

-when we played to “full time at 36-minutes”, blowouts (and lack of effort) became the norm in the final quarter

-when we played to “full score through 36-minutes”, Los scored 52 in a win

-the math worked out to 51.6 points per 30-minutes throughout the first season, 52 seemed natural

-we’re trying to grow the League and get more games and players action on the floor

-the ability to get “Veteran Subs” into the new team lineups, more games/rivalries

We hope this clears up some of the clouds in the sky.
